Financial Data Engineer
Build the pipelines that keep every figure traceable to its source.
About Tradoing
Tradoing is markets research that never makes up the numbers. Every figure traces to a real, checkable source; if a claim cannot be grounded, it is not shown. We are building the grounded research layer for analysts and investors, founder-led and early-stage.
The role
You build and run the data pipelines that feed Tradoing’s research: ingesting, cleaning, and tracing financial data back to its source. Every pipeline you build preserves provenance, so nothing published is ever untraceable. You work closely with analysts and the engineering team.
What you will do
- Build and maintain pipelines that ingest and clean financial and market data.
- Preserve provenance end to end, so every figure traces back to its source.
- Monitor data quality and flag gaps or inconsistencies early.
- Work with analysts to understand what data grounding actually requires.
What you bring
- 2+ years building data pipelines in production.
- Strong SQL and a real language for data engineering, such as Python or Go.
- Comfort working with messy, real-world financial data sources.
- Clear written communication with analysts and engineers.
Nice to have
- Experience with financial data vendors or market data APIs.
- Experience with data lineage or provenance tooling.
- A background in finance or economics.
What we offer
- Fully remote. Work from anywhere in your timezone.
- Real ownership of your area from day one.
- A small, senior team and direct founder access.
- Async-first, low-meeting culture.
